Don’t Misinterpret God’s Patience [Wednesday March 22, 2017]

DCLM Daily Manna March 22, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Don’t Misinterpret God’s Patience Topic: Don’t Misinterpret God’s Patience [Wednesday March 22, 2017] Text: Job 21:1-21 Key Verse: " Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?" (Job 21:7). How vulnerable are people who have stereotyped minds about God! Job’s friends were such people who would not listen to other people before passing their comments. They threw overboard fair hearing – a situation that would neither help the victim nor the comforters. Job pleaded with his friends not to deny him of a patient and fair hearing in this matter. He said after telling his own side, the "comforters" might decide to either console or mock him. He took this stand because he knew men are liable to making errors in judgment. It was only to God who cannot make any mistake he wished to lodge his complaints. He however wished that his complaints would make his friends to ponder and wonder on

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES WEDNESDAY, 22ND MARCH. ALL THINGS ARE SUBJECT TO YOU.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES WEDNESDAY, 22ND MARCH. ALL THINGS ARE SUBJECT TO YOU . And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church (Ephesians 1:22). The Lord Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, far above all principality, and power, might, dominion, and every name that is named. He occupies the most excellent and exalted throne there is; and the good news is that we’re seated with Him. Ephesians 2:4-6 says, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” God gave Jesus authority over all creation. At the mount of transfiguration, He spoke out of heaven and said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him” (Matthew 17:5). God commanded all of nature, animate and inanimate, to be subject

BUILDING BRIDGES, NOT WALLS

Image
Building Bridges, Not Walls by Joyce Meyer - posted March 22, 2017 For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us. - Ephesians 2:14 One day while I was praying, the Holy Spirit showed me that my life had become a bridge for others to pass over and find their place in God. For many years, I erected only walls in my life; but now where there were walls, there are bridges instead. All the difficult and unfair things that have happened to me have been turned into highways over which others can pass to find the same liberty that I have found. I have learned to build bridges instead of walls. In Hebrews 5:9 Jesus is referred to as "the Author and Source of eternal salvation." He pioneered a pathway to God for us. He became a highway for us to pass over. It is as though He faced a giant forest and went in ahead of us so that when we

WHAT ARE YOU KNOWN FOR

Image
What Are You Known For? C. P. Hia Hebrews 11:23–28 [Moses] regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.  Hebrews 11:26 A memorial stone stands in the grounds of a former Japanese prison camp in China where a man died in 1945. It reads, “Eric Liddell was born in Tianjin of Scottish parents in 1902. His career reached its peak with his gold medal victory in the 400 metres event at the 1924 Olympic Games. He returned to China to work in Tianjin as a teacher. . . . His whole life was spent encouraging young people to make their best contributions to the betterment of mankind.” In the eyes of many, Eric’s greatest achievement was on the sports field. But he is also remembered for his contribution to the youth of Tianjin in China, the country where he was born and that he loved. He lived and served by faith. What will we be remembered for? Our academic achievements, job position, or financial succ

THE PRAYER BY FAITH

THE PRAYER OF FAITH BY / / PUBLISHED IN DAILY DEVOTION Today’s scripture: James 5:15 “And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven” As a teenager, Kenneth E. Hagin laid paralyzed on a hospital bed for months. The doctors had consigned him to death. Then he stumbled on the Word of God and made an interesting discovery in the course of his study in Mark 11:24: “Whatsoever you desire when you pray, believe that you have received them and you will have them.” He believed the Word of God, placed his faith on the line and prayed. And on the 8th of August, 1934, God raised him up from his sick bed, healed and made whole. Hagin’s account is not peculiar. Since the days Jesus walked the earth and Peter’s shadow healed the sick, miraculous healings have remained with us. Testimonies abound of people who had been given no chance to live, bodies ravaged by terminal disease, but raised to health again b

A PURE HEART BY BILLY GRAHAMS

Image
A Pure Heart By Billy Graham • March 22 • Topics: Pride, Soul & Spirit A Pure Heart Keep thyself pure. — 1 Timothy 5:22 The Pharisees were not happy men. They had furrowed brows, nervous tension, frustration. They were full of resentments, bitterness, prejudices, and hatred s.  Why? Simply because they had lost sight of God’s conception of the pure in heart. They thought that as long as they kept the letter of the law that was enough. But this was not God’s plan. This did not produce purity of heart. This did not bring about happiness of soul. Jesus taught that God looks deeper than the outside actions of an individual. He searches and ponders the heart. God judges not so much the outside as He does the inside. He looks to the motives, thoughts, and intents of your heart. Prayer for the day Father, give me purity of heart that in true humility I may serve and praise You

ASSOCIATED WITH CHANGE? – Wednesday March 22nd 2017 Memorise: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new. 2nd Corinthians 5:17 Read: Deuteronomy 28:11-13 (King James Version) 11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: Bible in one year: Exodus 22-23, Isaiah 66:1-14, Hymn: Sing hymn 2
