BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO WAIT

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO WAIT -ISAIAH 30:18-26 KEY VERSE: "And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him" (Isaiah 30:18). The world is accustomed to haste. Everyone prefers to travel on the fast lane, own fast cars, fast telephony, fast Internet connections and eat fast foods. With the world wired together by awesome communication technology into one small global village, many business and lifestyle decisions can be made in no time by the touch of a gadget. The world is filled with the plague of impatience from coast to coast. Sadly, many Christians have contracted this syndrome and have been stung by the haste bug. God warned Israel about rebellion and lack of patience in waiting on Him. He informed them that in quietness and in confidence will their strength be after their repentance. He therefore promised to be

OPEN HEAVENS 2017 SEASON OF LAUGHTER – Monday May 8th 2017 Memorise:  Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. Isaiah 54:4 Read:  Isaiah 54:1-4 (King James Version) 1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord. 2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; 3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. 4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget

GROWING AND MULTIPLYING BY THE WORD.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY, 8TH MAY.  http://bit.ly/2dZqtLQ GROWING AND MULTIPLYING BY THE WORD. And the word of God increased… (Acts 6:7).. If you study the portion of Scripture referenced above in context, you’ll realize that the Word didn’t increase without the disciples. At this time, all they had was the spoken Word; they didn’t have the epistles or the written Word about Jesus. They went everywhere preaching what they heard and saw. So, the Word increased because they increased. The Word went forth in them, and anyone who tried to persecute them, persecuted the Word. That’s what Jesus said from heaven when Saul of Tarsus was persecuting the Church (Acts 9:4,5). In Acts 12:24, it gets better, “But the word of God grew and multiplied.”We previously read that the Word of God increased, but it’s not enough to increase; there’s got to be growth and also multiplication. Imagine that as a Pastor, your church is increasing, and then the Lord says to you, “You’ve got to move to the

The Burden of Waiting

The Burden of Waiting Amy Peterson Psalm 90 Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.  Psalm 90:12 Over the last few years, two members of my family have faced life-threatening diagnoses. For me, the hardest part of supporting them through their treatments has been the constant uncertainty. I am always desperate for a definitive word from a doctor, but things are rarely that straightforward. Instead of being given clarity, we are often asked to wait. It’s hard to bear the burden of uncertainty, always wondering what the next test will reveal. Will we have weeks, months, years, or decades before death separates us? But regardless of disease and diagnosis, each of us will die one day—things like cancer just bring our mortality to the forefront instead of letting it hide in the recesses of our minds. Faced with sobering reminders of our mortality, I find myself praying words that Moses once prayed. Psalm 90 tells us that though our lives are like grass that w
