God’s Word first came to man as the “Spoken Word.” The Bible shows that He spoke directly to men, such as Moses, Joshua, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He also spoke to men through angels (Hebrews 2:2). In Hebrews 1:1, we read that God spoke to the fathers through the prophets. He then commanded the prophets to put the message He gave them into writing. Thus, from the Spoken Word, we got the “Written Word,” given for the purpose of witness and evidence. With the Written Word, God’s people could compare His message given to different prophets, at different times, and see a consistency. This way, they’d always know what to do, where to go, and how God wanted them to live. God yet moved further, and this time He spoke His Word in a most remarkable way, through the Man, Christ Jesus—the Word incarnate. The Word became fles

RIGHT WAY TO WORSHIP GOD -NUMBERS 15:22-29 KEY VERSE: "...All the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD..." (Numbers 15:24). God’s essential requirement for His children is that they remain holy in order to live to praise and honour Him. He therefore means to make a unique people, a holy race that "should shew forth the praises of him who hath called [us] out of darkness into his marvellous light" (1 Peter 2:9). The children of God are also peculiar partakers of indescribable Heavenly blessings. Therefore, they are to walk with God in holiness, truth and clear conscience. One major way of walking worthy of the LORD is to offer sacrifices of praise for His benefit and also to stay away from sin. The text opens with an instruction which the Lord gave Moses concerning the children of Israel. He emphasised that this practice was to be a habitual worship of thanksgiving to the LORD for every first blessing,

Roper Genesis 14:17–24 Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine.  Genesis 14:18 Poet Samuel Foss wrote, “Let me live by the side of the road and be a friend to man” (“The House by the Side of the Road”). That’s what I want to be—a friend of people. I want to stand by the way, waiting for weary travelers. To look for those who have been battered and wronged by others, who carry the burden of a wounded and disillusioned heart. To nourish and refresh them with an encouraging word and send them on their way. I may not be able to “fix” them or their problems, but I can leave them with a blessing. Melchizedek, both the king of Salem and a priest, blessed Abram when he was returning weary from battle (Gen. 14). A “blessing” is more than a polite response to a sneeze. We bless others when we bring them to the One who is the source of blessing. Melchizedek blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven
