4 POWERFUL PRAYER S TO SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE FROM DIVORCE

Image
Have you heard this phrase in your marriage? “ Your man doesn’t have what it takes. ” When you hear it, it sounds like your own voice and perhaps the voice of one of your parents. In the spiritual battle, the tactic here is division. Consider how many ways you’ve been tempted to diminish your husband’s value in front of your peers and your parents. I entered marriage as a good Christian girl who didn’t know that the Philippians 4:8 “think on these things” was an effective marriage defense training tool. And I suppose God’s “honor your husband” instruction for wives was obscured by the thrill of being chosen. Regret floods my mind as I recall the years I spent rehearsing what seemed to be wrong with my husband. Unfortunately the rehearsal moved beyond my mouth and into my conversations with my parents and close friends. I was unknowingly committing treason—forsaking the vows I made before God to love, honor, and cherish him. I was completely clueless to the spiritual attack on

YOU ARE TWEAKABLE

Image
YOU ARE TWEAKABLE - March 13, 2017 What if, for , Jesus were to become you? Would you still do what you’d planned to do for the next twenty-four hours? It’s dangerous to sum up grand truths in one statement, but I’m going to try. If a sentence or two could capture God’s desire for each of us, it might read like this: “God loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus.” That’s good to know, right? You are tweakable. You aren’t stuck with today’s personality. Where did we get the idea we can’t change? If our bodies malfunction, we seek help. Shouldn’t we do the same with our hearts and our attitudes? Jesus can change our hearts. He wants us to have a heart like his. Can you imagine a better offer—than to be just like Jesus?

GOD OF ORDER

God of Order By Billy Graham • March 13 • Topics: God Daily Devotion God of Order earth from space The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust . . . —Psalm 18:2 The trouble with our modern thinking is that we have a conception that God is a haphazard God with no set rules of life and salvation. Ask the astronomer if God is a haphazard God. He will tell you that every star moves with precision in its celestial path. Ask the scientist if God is a haphazard God. He will tell you that His formulas and equations are fixed, and that to ignore the laws of science would be a fool’s folly. If the laws in the material realm are so fixed and exact, is it reasonable that God could afford to be haphazard in the spiritual realm, where eternal destinies of souls are at stake? Just as God has equations and rules in the material realm, God has equations and rules in the spiritual. Prayer for the day Thank You, God, for Your abso

STILL RUNNING?

Image
Still Running? by Joyce Meyer - posted March 13, 2017 Finding it difficult to forgive those who’ve hurt you? Understanding God’s grace can help. —Daniel 4:5 In April 2005, many Americans and the world heard the story of the "runaway bride," Jennifer Wilbanks. The thirty-two-year-old Duluth, Georgia, resident disappeared just days before her six hundred-guest wedding was to take place. Her family and fiancé, certain she had been kidnapped, pleaded for her safe return, and the missing bride became a national story for the major news media. When she turned up alive, the truth was revealed that the bride-to-be ran because of "certain fears" that controlled her life. Most of us would say, "Well, she should have talked to her fiancé or her pastor instead of running away." But how many of us easily confront our fears? You may not have ever physically run away as did Wilbanks, but I bet emotionally there are things you're running from. You're c

CONSPIRACY AND FORNICATION

Open Heavens 13 March 2017:-   CONSPIRACY & FORNICATION – Monday March 13th 2017 Memorise; Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 1st Corinthians 6:18 Read: Job 5:12-14, 1st Corinthians 6:18-20 (KJV) 12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. 13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. 14 They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night. 1st Corinthians 6:18-20 (KJV) 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which ar

SURPRISE INTERVIEW

Image
Surprise Interview Mart DeHaan Acts 26:9–15 The King will say, “I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!” Matthew 25:40 nlt On a crowded London commuter train, an early morning rider shoved and insulted a fellow passenger who got in his way. It was the kind of unfortunate and mindless moment that usually remains unresolved. But later that day, the unexpected happened. A business manager sent a quick message to his social media friends, “Guess who just showed up for a job interview.” When his explanation appeared on the Internet, people all over the world winced and smiled. Imagine walking into a job interview only to discover that the person who greets you is the one you had shoved and sworn at earlier that day. Saul also ran into someone he never expected to see. While raging against a group called the Way (Acts 9:1–2), he was stopped in his tracks by a blinding light. Then a voice said, “Saul,

TOUCH LIVES

As many, therefore, as are perfect, should be of this mind; and if in any thing you think differently, God will also reveal this to you; but to what we have attained, let us walk by the same line. - Philippians 3:15-17 IT is indispensable to those who have reached the mark of perfect love that they shall keep actively engaged in the service of the Lord, laying down their lives for the brethren....Such must stand, not only as representatives of God and of the principles of righteousness, but as representatives of those strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might, and in the faith of His Word,--ready and willing and efficient in the encouragement of other runners in the race-course, that they likewise may attain to the "mark."

JESUS IS GOD'S AMEN

Image
MARCH 13  Jesus Is God’s Amen Devotional by John Piper All the promises of God find their Yes in him.  why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. (2 Corinthians 1:20) Prayer is the place where the past and future are linked repeatedly in our lives. I mention this here because Paul links prayer with God’s Yes in this verse in a striking way. In 2 Corinthians 1:20, he says (with choppy Greek that comes through in choppy English), “That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” Let’s try to smooth that out. Here’s what he is saying: “Therefore, because of Christ, we say Amen to God in our prayers to show that God gets the glory for the future grace we are counting on.” If you’ve ever wondered why Christians say Amen at the end of our prayers and where that custom comes from, here’s the answer. Amen is a word taken straight over into Greek from Hebrew without any translation, just like it has come into English and most ot

DON'T PLAY LIGHT ON SPEAKING IN TONGUES

Image
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY,  13TH MARCH. DON’T PLAY LIGHT ON SPEAKING IN TONGUES. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church (1 Corinthians 14:4). Speaking in tongues is so important for us as Christians. The Bible says, “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing…” (Isaiah 28:11-12). Peter describes it as “…the times of refreshing….” (Acts 3:19). There’s refreshing, rejuvenation, and flourishing for the one who consistently speaks in tongues. Also, speaking in tongues improves you. The Amplified version of our opening verse says, “He who speaks in a [strange] tongue edifies and improves himself….” When you speak in tongues, you become sensitive to spiritual realities; you’re synchronised with the Spirit, and His voice becomes clear to you. Some people say they don’t know when God is tal

ENEMY AT WORK

Image
MARCH 13, 2017 ENEMY AT WORK  TEXT: MATTHEW 13:27, 28A BIBLE TEXT: "So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this..."(Matthew 13:27, 28a). But as seen in our text we cannot send them away. Matthew Henry says, "Though gross transgressors, and such as openly oppose the gospel, ought to be separated from the society of the faithful, yet no human skill can make an exact separation. Those who oppose must not be cut off but instructed, and that with meekness." Jesus will do the just separation on the Day of Judgment. Beloved, if you attend a good school or a good church and some of the youth are wayward, rejecting the word of God, you should neither imitate them nor speak evil of them. God can save the human "˜tares' just as He is perfecting you by His word for His kingdom. Challenge: There are still pretender
