THE BLESSINGS AND PRIVILEGE OF PRAYER

Image
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES THURSDAY, 9TH MARCH.  THE BLESSINGS AND PRIVILEGE OF PRAYER .  And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1). The victorious and triumphant life, which is God-ordained, and His will for you in Christ, isn’t really possible without prayer. The Bible says, “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16).  Christians who don’t take advantage of the blessings and privilege that prayer provides easily become victims in life. Prayer is a privilege, as well as a right given to us to approach the Father in faith through His Word, and by the Holy Spirit. That opportunity of fellowship is something the Father always wants us to seize and take advantage of. In Luke 18:1, Jesus said, “…men ought always to pray, and not to faint.. The ensuing parable He told emphasized the connection we have with the Father in our constant communication that builds faith. It’s ...

FIND COMFORT IN MARRIAGE

Image
DCLM Daily Manna March 9, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi.  Topic: Find Comfort In Marriage  [Thursday March 9, 2017] Text: Genesis 24:61-67 Key Verse: "And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death" (Genesis 24:67).  Sometimes, men and women think that the sinful pleasures and degenerate lifestyle of this world can provide them the greatest enjoyment. They see no need for permanent companionship which marriage provides. Some others are frightened by the tales of failed marriages. Worse still, some who are married seek immoral satisfaction in extramarital relationships.  All these end in more unhappiness and make the soul more unstable. God who had observed Adam, the apex of His creation, with great delight, declared that it is not good for a man to be alone. He took care to provide a fitting partner for him, in the person of Eve. From then on, a...

THE REAL YOU

Image
The Real You  By Billy Graham   • March 9 The Real You  woman reflection  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith . . . —Ephesians 3:17  Experts have told us that society is sick. Their solutions have treated human frailty with infusions of low-income housing, welfare payments, integrated education, and psychological conditioning. But we are learning that this is not the total answer. The world does need changing, society needs changing, the nation needs changing, but we never will change it until we ourselves are changed. And we never will change until we look into the mirror of our own soul and face with candor what we are inside.  Then freely acknowledge that there is a defect in human nature, a built-in waywardness that comes from man’s natural rebellion against God. I am not preaching now, just trying to give you an understanding of what makes you tick. But I also expect to show you that, in the end, you can find your answe...

MISTAKE WERE MADE

Mistake were Made Cindy Hess Kasper  Exodus 32:1–5, 19–26 They gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!  Exodus 32:24 “Mistakes were made,” said the CEO as he discussed the illegal activity his company had been involved in. He looked regretful, yet he kept blame at arm’s length and couldn’t admit he had personally done anything wrong. Some “mistakes” are just mistakes: driving in the wrong direction, forgetting to set a timer and burning dinner, miscalculating your checkbook balance.  But then there are the deliberate deeds that go far beyond—God calls those sin. When God questioned Adam and Eve about why they had disobeyed Him, they quickly tried to shift the blame to another (Gen. 3:8–13). Aaron took no personal responsibility when the people built a golden calf to worship in the desert.  He explained to Moses, “[The people] gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!” (Ex. 32:24). He ...

YOU ARE BLESSED

Thursday, 9 March 2017 Open Heavens your are blessed  Memorise: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:28  Read: Genesis 1:26-30 (KJV) 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Beho...

THE RIGHT WAY TO WORSHIP

Image
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES WEDNESDAY, 8TH MARCH.  THE RIGHT WAY TO WORSHIP. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). There’s the right way to worship God. You can’t worship Him the way you choose and expect that He’ll accept it. For example, Genesis 4 tells us how two men—Cain and Abel—the sons of Adam and Eve offered sacrifices to God. Cain brought an offering to God from the produce of his farm; he offered to God what he thought was okay, instead of what God had asked for. Abel, on the other hand, offered what God demanded and his sacrifice was accepted. You don’t give to God what you think you have; you give Him what He demands of you. It’s the same with worship. It’s important that you walk in the light of God’s Word, doing exactly what He wants. Just because somet...

FEED ON GOD'S WORD

Image
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8, 2017 FEED ON GOD’S WORD  -PSALM 119:9-16 KEY VERSE: "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word" (Psalm 119:9).  The greatest weakness of many people is that they have no clue as to how to keep themselves from doing what is wrong. Worse still, because of the widespread permissiveness in our modern world, many no longer know where to draw a line between what is right and what is wrong. As a result, they stumble through life, experiencing one disaster after another. The writer of this psalm seems to be understandably worried about how the world is engulfed in diverse kinds of evil and perversions. How possible is it then for anyone, especially vibrant and inexperienced young people, to keep away from doing what is wrong? How can one withstand the pressure of selfish desires and societal demands? The answer, according to the Psalmist, is to take heed to God’s word, to seek Him with all your heart, an...
