PREPARE YOURSELF!

Image
PREPARE YOURSELF! -JEREMIAH 19:1-15 KEY VERSE: "And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle" (Jeremiah 19:3). A story was told about a boy who failed all his school work. He sent a text message to his mother: "Failed everything; prepare Papa." His mother, after some time, replied, "Papa prepared; prepare yourself." This is the message all mankind needs in view of the looming judgment of God. God is prepared. We need to prepare ourselves! After several attempts by God to bring backslidden Israel back into fellowship with Him, coupled with clear warnings on the impending judgment of their persistence in obstinacy and rebellion, He sent prophet Jeremiah to announce the fast approaching judgment on idolatrous Israel. The prophet was directed to deliver the message near...

THE POOR IN SPIRIT

Image
OPEN HEAVENS 2017 THE POOR IN SPIRIT – Thursday April 6th 2017 Memorise: Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3 Read: Luck 18:9-14 (KJV) 9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Bible in one year: Leviticus 13, Jer...

SAFE AND SECURE IN HIM.

Image
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES THURSDAY, 6TH APRIL.  SAFE AND SECURE IN HIM. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Psalm 16:11). When Jesus said, “You’re in the world, but not of the world” (John 15:19), He meant that you operate in this physical environment, but with a different set of rules. It reminds of when the children of Israel left Egypt to the Promised Land; they went with their own atmosphere. The Bible says, “By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people” (Exodus 13:21-22 NIV). Everywhere else in the desert was hot and arid, but God’s people were protected by His divine presence. The pillar of cloud shielded them from the scorching heat during the day. At...

WHAT LAST FOREVER

Image
What Lasts Forever? Poh Fang Chia Psalm 102:25–28 You remain the same, and your years will never end. Psalm 102:27 My friend, who had gone through many difficulties recently, wrote, “As I reflect on the past four semesters of student life, so many things have changed . . . . It is scary, really scary. Nothing stays forever.” Indeed, many things can happen in two years—a career change, newfound friendship, illness, death. Good or bad, a life-altering experience may be lurking just around the corner, waiting to pounce! We simply don’t know. What great comfort, then, to know that our loving heavenly Father does not change. The psalmist says, “You remain the same, and your years will never end” (Ps. 102:27). The implication of this truth is immense. It means that God is forever loving, just, and wise. As Bible teacher Arthur W. Pink so wonderfully states: “Whatever the attributes of God were before the universe was called into existence, they are precisely the same now, and will remain ...

DIVINE HEALING – Wednesday April 5th 2017

Image
DIVINE HEALING – Wednesday April 5th 2017 Memorise: For she said within herself, if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. Matthew 9:21 Read: Luke 13:11-16(KJV) 11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. 12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. 13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. 14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. 15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter o...

Breathe Life into Your Dreams

Image
Breathe Life into Your Dreams by Joyce Meyer For a dream comes with much business and painful effort . . . -Ecclesiastes 5:3 I’m sure this is why many people give up on their dreams somewhere along the way. When they find out it will take effort, be costly and uncomfortable to complete their preparation for the birth of that dream, they conclude it wasn't really God's will after all and go and do something else. I want to encourage you to go press through the hard part because if you give up, you will never be completely satisfied. Faith becomes stronger as we are required to use it. So how do we successfully make it through preparation and give birth to our God-given dreams? Here are three keys to help you get there: 1. Be Confident that God is working Whatever dream God has put in your heart, stand in faith, believing He can bring it to pass. Each day, as you pursue the promise He has given you, make it a habit to say, “God’s working!” You may not know all ...

DON'T SUCCUMB TO PRESSURE.

Image
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES WEDNESDAY,  DON'T SUCCUMB TO PRESSURE . For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). Why should a Christian read the Scriptures, like our theme verse above and still gripe and moan about challenges? It makes no difference the pressure you face from the adversary; refuse to budge, because the greater One lives in you. Never find yourself wearing a sad look, frustrated, because of the challenges you might be facing. That’s what Satan wants; he likes to see that you’re under the pressure; but don’t give him that luxury. Christ lives in you. Therefore, when you face crises declare, “Greater is He that’s in me than all the pressures and challenges that could ever come against me!” Whatev...
